Gibson Girls Canvas

You Will Need

 Artists 1 Plate

Gibson Girl 1 Plate

Scrabble and Tags Plate

Corner Swirl

Small Chipboard Tags

Fibres

Create Believe Imagine Twill

Mica Powder Paints

Canvas

StazOn Jet Black

Pale Pink or Peach, and Yellow, Blue and Green ink pads

White Acid Free Tissue Paper

Spray Adhesive

Adhesive Clear Book Cover or Diamond Glaze or Small Square Bubble Stickers

Mod Podge

Pen Nibs

 

  1. Paint the canvas with green, yellow, and blue Mica Powder Paint (mix with water) using brush or cosmetic sponge. Keep the colours strong and vibrant. Cover a sheet of A4 paper with the same colours.

  2. Cut a piece of tissue paper exactly the size of the canvas and stamp with the images as shown.

  3. Spray canvas liberally with spray adhesive and carefully smooth tissue paper over the top.

  4. Stamp the word ‘Art’ around the edge.

  5. Colour the twill with green, yellow, and blue inks and stick around the edge.

  6. Dab a little pale pink ink on the ladies’ faces.

  7. Glaze the front of the canvas with Mod Podge.

  8. Stick the pen nibs on with strong glue

  9. Apply the blue, green, and yellow ink pads or paints to the tags and stamp ‘Beauty’, ‘Art’ and ‘Create’.

  10. Punch a hole in the tags with a Crop-o-dile or similar and thread with the fibres. Stick onto the canvas as shown, using three d foam pads to support the raised tags.

  11. Stamp the Scrabble Tags on the prepared A4 paper. Cut out to spell ‘Gibson Girls’ and cover with adhesive film or diamond glaze or bubble stickers and adhere to the canvas as shown.
